New bloom at the #nolawildflowermeadow - in the rain garden;
a dandelion cocktail @longuevuehg @thebrakesbarbr ;
a native milkweed bloom- @muffinbernstein is this one of the ones from you?
an orchid cactus bloom at my mother’s;
and working on a new pawpaw piece for a show @knoxart next month, with help from @docvillefarm @blaise_damnit
And the child will be in 8th grade next year, he is too tall for me to photograph 😆

Did you know there are 35 species of mosquitoes in New Orleans? A handful of new ones blew in with hurricane Ida and decided to stay. Mosquito Control knows this because they catch and ID something like 15,000 mosquitos A WEEK! (did I get that right? Seems impossible!)

Pictured: Rockstar Dr. Jen Breaux talked to 75 @benfranklin_hs students yesterday at the #nolawildflowermeadow about what New Orleans Mosquito, Termite and Rodent Control does and how they innovate approaches to controlling mosquitoes so they can spray LESS.

AND… @nolamosquito is bringing back BUGFEST this year! they are looking for exhibitors - artists, plant people- and asking them to fill out this form, link in bio. It's a super fun event and I will be there in the meadow talking about urban ecology.
